Panelists will discuss services assessment strategies in TRLN, including collaborations with faculty, other campus service units, and prioritizing services in tough economic circumstances.

 

2:30-3:30 Reconsidering Library Services using Undergraduate Assessment Techniques

University of Rochester

In 2007, researchers at the University of Rochester published "Studying Students: The Undergraduate Research Project at the University of Rochester." Susan Gibbons, co-editor of this groundbreaking anthropological and ethnographic study of student research and writing behavior, will share outcomes in her library in the wake of these findings. Specifically, Gibbons will address changes made in hours, instructions, fines, writing tutor cross-training, and delivery.

Groups will have the opportunity to react to the panel discussion and keynote, and explore ways that TRLN libraries can share or even collaborate on assessment strategies.
